Path to Full Citizenship: Manitoba Legislature Ramp |

| The challenge in this project was to blend new construction of a universal access ramp in a manner that did not detract from the existing architecture of the Manitoba Legislative Building; a National Heritage Site. It was a natural choice for JEDS to be awarded this government contract given our core strength in historical renovation. Our team completed the following work, on time, on budget. Summary of work completed: concrete works, installation of piles, grade beams, retaining walls, tyndall stone installation, heat trace system, surface lighting fixtures, landscaping, railings, zinc-clad steel canopy and all associated mechanical and electrical works. | |

| Working with Number Ten Architectural Group, JEDS installed a deep refresh of residential suites on three floors, hallways and renovated on seven floors of a multi-dwelling unit. Our primary work activities included millwork, flooring, doors & hardware, plumbing, electrical, and painting. And JEDS expertise extends to more technical systems work as we installed a new generator, sprinkler system, electric strike card access system for entranceways and elevators. This was an extensive renovation project and JEDS delivered an excellent product. | |

Redevelopment of Assiniboine Park Zoo Asiatic Lion Pavilion |

| The Asiatic Lion Pavilion at the Assiniboine Park is one of the preeminent exhibits of this Winnipeg zoo. JEDS prepared this new home to Assiniboine’s tigers through renovation of the existing indoor exhibit. Construction included new roofing, insulation, glazing, eaves troughs and down pipes to prepare the Interpretive and Display Area addition. JEDS completed the project with storage room, washroom, vestibules and gated service area as well as new mechanical and electrical upgrade. Finishing touches were retaining walls and asphalt pathways to the Pavilion for wheelchair accessibility and surrounding landscaping work. Assiniboine Park Zoo put their trust in JEDS with one of their most prized exhibit spaces. | |
